everytime i wanted to

Before the essentials of my post, I am going to fill in a survey/quiz type thing.

1. Were you named after anyone? Yes I was!

2. Do you still have your tonsils? Yes, and I never want them taken out! Painful!

3. Would you bungee jump? Probably not, since I'm terrified of heights.

4. What is your favorite cereal? This is surprisingly a difficult question. I like Apple Cinnamon Cheerios.

5. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Sometimes

6. What is your favorite ice cream? Chocolate Brownie Meltdown!

7. What is the first thing you notice about people? It's actually different about everyone, depending on focal features of different people and things like that.

8. What is your least favorite thing about yourself? I can't decide.

9. What was the last thing you ate? Apple Blossom

10. What are you listening to right now? The television

11. Last movie you watched? Mamma Mia

12. What did you dream about last night? Somehow I cannot remember, although I normally can remember.

13. What book are you reading? Go Ask Alice-Anonymous

14. Summer or winter? Summer, no hesitation.

15. Do you have any special talents? Dancing, Computer stuff, Reading a lot(if that counts), Makeup Application(I'm actually not that good, but it sounds cool, so sure!) and Improv.

Thanks to Tiffany at TheTiffanyTree for tagging me, and I am going to tag all of my followers, because they are fabulous!

Okay, so there are about twenty minutes left for me until the New Year. While I'm typing this, at least. You know what I find interesting? Technically this isn't a New Year for me. A full year is on my birthday. So shouldn't I be saying Happy New Year and giving people New Years cards on their birthdays? Do you understand what I'm saying? It may be coming out in rambles, but I am on a laptop and I don't feel like taking more time to paragraph everything nicely(as if I actually do that normally). This laptop also means that I am not going to be able to take the time to post photos.

Everyone makes such a huge deal about the New Year and has New Years eve parties. I personally don't find it to be such a huge deal. The biggest thing I look forward to is dressing up nicely, and maybe some cookies. Right now I am wearing a button-up plaid shirt(blue, grey, white and black), a blue lace tank top underneath, black skinnies, converse and silver hoop earrings. Just what I would usually wear on a normal day. Although, I guess this is a normal day. I brought a notebook along with me on this trip, and I am writing a bunch of things in it, so I'll post some of them on my blog. Not all of them, because some of them are more personal than others. *giggle*

Two Thousand and Eight was filled with many different things, and I'm sure that I could make a wonderful poem and fill your mind with thoughts and intrigue you. The problem is, looking back on 2008, a lot has happened. I've changed a lot, yet I'm still totally the same. What a weird concept, yet, it's true.

I am going to be going now, because there are about 12 minutes left until the new year, and I'm going to go and PAR-TAY. Well, not really. I hope all of you had a great time and unless I'm lucky and can get on the computer again, have a great beginning of 2009, and make sure you wish everyone a great day!

DFTBA.

HAPPY END OF 2008!

I feel like such a bad girl! I have been meaning to post but I haven't been in the right 'mood' to, and some things happened, and now I am leaving to go on a trip tomorrow, and I will be away until Saturday! I had so much to post about! And this needs to be very short and hopefully sweet, because I need to finish packing, and fixing my iPod(it's only a 4GB and all of my music doesn't fit on it so i need to select certain songs).

This is going to be the quickest new years post ever! I also got an award from chloe, the sweetest ever, but I'll write about that in my next post, because I don't want to hurry my mind!

Two Thousand and Eight. I never thought that this would happen, but I actually wasn't single for the entire year! I know! Gasp! The relationships didn't last too long, but it's okay. One of them just recently ended actually, at 11:20AM on the 28th. And no, I actually think that's what time it was. But, enough about that. This was actually a pretty good year. It's weird to think that I was in two different grades this year. Last school year seems so long ago! I don't have any regrets about this year. A girl I met at camp gave me such great advice, and she totally helped me out!

Thanks to Bev(icarryyourheart, a-bev-blog, check her out, her link is in the sidebar) for showing me the Kate Nash song 'Merry Happy'. It's fab and I love it!
I must leave now, father is making me go upstairs and finish packing. I hope you all have the most glittery new years ever filled with as much sparkage as you want, and make sure you stay safe! Oh, and thanks ever so much for all the comments! Sorry for the fact that this post is lacking in generally everything.

harmonic cupcakes and cuddling

First off, I would just like to say that this blog post is going to include a lot of pictures. I got a tag from the great Chloe at http://heartshapedmorning.blogspot.com/, and it is a photo tag. The photo I am doing for that one is somewhere in this post, but I'm also just writing about other photographs that I would like to share.

In my last post, I mentioned something about bleeding. Well, now you will hear the story, and see a few pictures! The photos are small, so it isn't that gross or anything like that. I was recently performing in Seussical The Musical and in the song 'Here On Who' I have to climb down a ladder very quickly, and then go onto the main stage to do the rest of the song. It was probably my sixth or seventh time doing this, and each time I got down I would have a moment where I wave to the people on the other side in the wings, and they would give me a thumbs up or something of the sort. This time around, I went down the ladder and I skipped a few steps, but didn't take notice when I felt like I had scraped my knee, as I had done it that afternoon. I went onto the stage and kept on doing the number, and then when I had a chance to sit down at a part of the song, I saw a..sort of bubble on my knee, and I saw that I had a cut on my knee. There wasn't much I could do because the song wasn't over yet, so when we all stood back up, I quickly wiped the blood on the back of my hand and continued the scene. The song is longer than 5 minutes, and in the fourth minute I was standing downstage and I was singing out to the audience when I felt a warm liquid trickling down my leg. The cut was stinging a bit now, but obviously I just continued with the scene. After the song was over, I walked offstage and when I got there I quickly wiped the blood on the back of my leg where it would be less seen. I had a scene about 15 seconds later, so after doing that and two more songs, I walked offstage and the guy who was playing the Cat in the Hat got me some water and some wonderful girls got me some napkins to wipe my leg up with. After the show, when I got home, I saw that the cut was pretty deep. This only made my fear of heights worse. Below are three photographs of my leg. Aren't my heels just darling?

I really want fairy lights for my bedroom. I don't think I'm going to recieve any as a gift though. Oh well. My doorway looks nice in this photo taken this summer.

I always go on about how I love dancing in the rain, and here is a photo of my wet footprints all over after I had jumped around in the rain. My feet look so small! This was taken a while ago, probably June.

There are only two things to say about this picture, and that is International Music Camp, and emotional.
I went to Washington to go and see the Holocaust Memorial Museum, but I also walked around the State with my friends. I'm the one wearing the yellow top.
Now, for the photo tag.
The rules are :
1. Go to the 4th folder in your computer where you store yourpictures.
2. Pick the 4th picture in that folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag 4 people to do the same!
This was actually the fourth picture in my Photo's folder, which is sort of strange, because this was taken a long while ago. I went to a restaurant with three girls, for a sweet sixteen. We ordered nachos for an appetizer, and when they brought it, they also included salsa and sour cream on the side. One of the girls, A, asked the waitress if she could have a lemon and a knife. It gave us all the giggles as the waitress brought back a whole lemon and a knife. A then proceeded to cut up the lemon and dip it in the sour cream. She ate it too. That was a fun night, what with the lemon and sour cream, and putting things in C's drink.
I am going to tag:
Have fun!
Check them out!
I must go now, dearies. I am going to watch RENT this Christmas eve. It really is a fabulous movie, and musical.

boy, you turn my world around

I haven't been on the computer since Monday. So much has happened, but I really want to save that for another blog post. One where I can include pictures and actually take a very long time to do it. I am at school and it is the last day of school before winter break, and boy, am I excited!

I was tagged by Sticky Kitten at http://stickykittenz.blogspot.com, so thank you ever so much! Getting tagged is so fun!
The rules: Share six things that make you happy and tag six amazing starry-eyed bloggers! Easy enough!

1. Seeing someone you haven't seen in a long time
2. Cookies
3. Photography
4. Collages
5. Spotlights
6. You

I am going to tag:
http://heartshapedmorning.blogspot.com
http://everyday-trash.blogspot.com
http://myheadthelabrynth.blogspot.com
http://modernmarie.blogspot.com
http://pixiedustandrosepetals.blogspot.com
http://thenameiskatie.blogspot.com

I will blog really soon after this, but I just want you all to know that I am still alive and well(and bleeding).

Oh, and before I forget, thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments on my last post! Fifteen comments may not be a lot for some of you, but for me that is SO cool!

where my mind wanders

My friends Madison and Tatiana wrote me a book called "Erin on a Rainy Day" and it was so sweet! They illustrated it and everything! I will be posting pictures soon, but this post is mostly a picture/quote type of a post. There are four days left until the show begins!

You can always tell when two people are best friends because they're always having way more fun than it makes sense for them to be having.

Reading is sometimes an ingenious device for avoiding thought.

if you want to know where your heart is, look where your mind wanders.

It's not what i feel for you, it's what i don't feel for anyone but you.

Just because it's not what you expected, doesn't mean it isn't everything you've been waiting for all along.

I hate missing you, but I love having you to miss.

and all I want now is to keep on walking straight into something I could adore.

if you hear that someone is speaking ill of you, instead of trying to defend yourself, you should say, "they obviously don't know me very well, since there are so many other faults they could've mentioned."
If you haven't noticed, I'm particularily hungry for something sweet.
Here's a funny mathematical pick-up line that makes me laugh:
My love for you is like the derivative of a concave up function because it is always increasing. We're going to assume this concave up function resembles x^2 so that slopes is actually increasing.
Isn't it just wonderful?

This is really cool to listen to. Some of the songs sound so different from the finalized versions and the workshop ones.
This is something I said in July 2008(about love): But for those who can see beyond it, love is a motorcycle of dreams and lower gas prices.
I may not be blogging as much as usual in the next week, because I'm barely going to be home, let alone on the computer. Sorry! I love you.
Take Care,
Erin
P.S. There is this one person at school, and she calls me Svetlana.

This blog has four parts.

I have a couple of things to blog about, and my father isn't going to let me go back on this computer after dinner, so I better type fast!

Number One.
Tea Parties.
Can someone PLEASE have one? And soon! Bev AKA Icarryyourheart had a tea party(featured in the following photos) and I am longing to go to another one. Belgium chocolate tea is my new favourite tea. I'm just in the mood for small cucumber sandwiches, and scones. So delicious.

Number Two.
Raviv Ullman.
Have you ever watched Phil of the Future? This guy played Phil, the lead. He is such a cool guy! He's about 22 years old and he was born in Israel. He's a really cool guy. Oh wait, I already said that. Oh well.
Number Three.
An Award? What?
I was completely shocked and ecstatic when I found out that I had recived an award! Thank you SOOOOO much!
Thankyouthankyouthankyou!

"This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY-nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this clever-written text into the body of their award."
Ahh! That is so hackin' cool! When I got this I was giddy and I giggled like I had just won a tony, or like I had just realized I was a man(that was funny to me, but it probably isn't funny).
I'm going to pass this award on to:
One of my favourite bloggers, http://theteadrinkingenglishrose.blogspot.com
AND
The girl who's style blows me away, http://cheapthrillsss.blogspot.com
Number Four.
It's dinner time, so I must be going.
That saying sounded wrong, but I have no time to fix it! I don't even have time to make those links look good, and I want this post up soon!
Thanks ever so much for reading my blog. Now I must go and eat some chicken, and then go to dance class. Legwarmers are awesome! :)

can you verify a lie?

Can you verify a lie? It sounds cool, but it's a serious question. Can you? My second question is this; is my blog stupid? Answer truthfully. But first, finish reading the rest of this post.

I don't think of myself that much, do I? I surely don't talk about myself a lot, at least compared to the average amount someone else talks about themsevles. Maybe it seems that way, but I don't. I wouldn't want to anyways. Who would want to talk about me all of the time? It would be pretty boring. But then again, if you are on the phone, what else are you supposed to talk about? The weather? Well, that doesn't interest me much. Most of the time, on the phone, I talk about my life, and the person I'm talking to talks about theirs. We discuss what is currently going on in the lives of us, share funny stories and things like that. I don't really know what else I'm supposed to talk about. Maybe I just have terrible phone skills. "Thank you for calling me here on my cell phone, this is Erin Meagan, how can I help you be awesome?" What a load of fun that would be.

I'm not in the best mood right now, so I'm going to make a list of things that make me happy. Glitter, blue christmas lights, daisies, mario kart double dash, the rain in the summer, amy diamond songs, giant pretzels(cinnamon sugar), putting my feet up at the kitchen table, harry potter, a good discussion, getting and giving compliments, scented markers, laying in the grass, walking along the shore, dancing to a song while singing along to the lyrics, concerts, honeydew, belgium chocolate tea, the weekenders, letters from camp, massages in choir, french fries with vinegar, salt and ketchup, wearing dresses, cramming a bunch of people on one object(like a couch), having someone read to me, chess, picking apples and peeling them, drawing a picture that actually looks good, getting and giving gifts, dance rehersals, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, cake, milkshakes, photography, lists, winnie the pooh, having a good laugh.

That cheered me up, a bit. Did you know that the real name for brainfreeze is sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia? Isn't that fun to say? PC vs Mac. What do you choose?

people will surprise you.

STYLE! Sometimes I get compliments on my style, and sometimes I don't. Which I'm completely fine with. I just wear what I feel like. Here are some sets that reflect how I want to dress/how I dress/how you should dress(just kidding, of course).

This set is titled 'fruit cup' and I just love how the red and green pop with the otherwise more 'conservative' colours(except they aren't conservative at all). I also love the flash of animal print in the scarf!

The title of this set is 'the love isn't nearly as equal as i'd have hoped' and I can totally see myself wearing this with my hair straightened and just left down. I like bright colours, and those 3D glasses are a definete fashion staple. I just don't recommend you wear them in class.

The title of this set is 'you don't want to know..trust me" and I like it because I love the colours orange and purple, except those colours don't look so good on me. I have a tank top similar to that one, and I LOVE the clutch so much! Cupcakes are fantastic.

I named this set 'he's a sweet talker..and i'm breakable' and the earrings are adorable! I love food-based clothing and accessories! The shorts make the outfit pop, and the animal print is great! Of course, underclothes are a must, and I just love the colours of the bra and UNDERWEAR. Not panties. Or thong. UNDERWEAR. Yeah.

The title of this set is my name, Erin Meagan, and it is pretty much almost everything I own, or close to that. I own the shirt, and a yellow headband, brown hair extensions, that phone(or at least before it got run over), black bow flats, argyle socks and a kathy van zeeland bag. I wish I had yellow skinny jeans.

This set was dedicated to all of the Nerdfighters, and it is called 'won't you be in nerdfighterlike with me?' and I love so much about it. I love the orange and blues together, and how the colour of the tanktop is in smaller detailing in the skirt. The camera is cool because it is orange.

Who wouldn't want that t-shirt? This set is called 'it was all in your mind' and I just love how everything goes together nicely without looking set up.

I think that's enough for today. I've seen a lot of people do blogs like this and I just thought, why not me? So tell me your fashionista stories in the comments, or in a blog post. I'd love to hear them!
I'll see you on the other side of happy,
Erin

Christmas Bells Are Ringing On TV; At SAKS.

With all respect, sir, are you therefore sugguesting there is no further room for critical thought or interpretation?
-Melchior Gabor, Spring Awakening
I'm excited for Christmas. We've started to decorate our house, we have TONS of lights on the outside, and then our tree is GORGEOUS! It is so lush and beautiful, with a bunch of ornaments and all that jazz on it. My mother is going to be making a lot of honeycake, because my whole family loves to eat it. With powdered sugar. I have a huge wishlist of things that I want, and even if I don't get all of it(which I won't) it's okay because I'll be spending time with my friends and family, and that's what really matters. The holdiay isn't just about getting gifts, except that is what everyone seems to be the most excited about. My chamber choir at school is singing a bunch of holiday(mostly Christmas though) songs at a hospital, and I'm so ecstatic. I think I'm going to wear Christmas colours and wear my reindeer clips in my hair and maybe I'll even get all of my friends to do it. I think I'm the one who is the most excited out of all of them though. I want to go caroling. Can you tell that I'm super excited? At school I drew a huge sign and hung it up. It's a countdown until Christmas. I'm so excited, I just can't wait. December has come so quickly, but now the days until Christmas are dragging on and on and on..
Okay, well the truth is, I'm jewish and I celebrate Chanukah(or Hannukah, Hanukkah, Chanukkah, ect). Everyone around me pretty much all celebrates Christmas, and I don't. I don't really mind, except that my school's chamber choir is singing a bunch of christmas songs, and now I have to commit them to memory. I haven't even heard some of them before. I don't do anything special on Christmas, and I also can't join in on my friends' excitement for the holiday coming up. It's normally okay with me, it's just that this year everybody is talking about it non-stop(and also talking about twilight, agh). Do you like eggnog? Eggnog is really gross, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Christmas or anything of the sort. It just takes over the month of December, and it's all people talk about. And drama. But let's not get into that.
The song of the day is Christmas Bells from Rent.
It is SUCH a great song. No lie.
My life though, is pretty lovely. Although my phone got ran over by a car, although there's been some drama that I wasn't involved in, but distantly affected by, although I have an orthodontist appointment later today, although these next few weeks will be very stressful, although I don't have enough money to participate in Secret Santas and buy good gifts for people(yet), my life is sparkley. I'm trying to glitterify my life as much as I can, because you can never have too much glitter. When I get home, I'm having hot chocolate. It is almost the weekend, and I just wish I could see some people sooner.

This is going to sound totally off topic, but today in gym class we were doing archery, and we needed to have a team name for a bingo-archery-type game, and our team name was 'Lawnmowerz 4 Lyfe" and then each player had a team nickname. I was blowtorch. There was also: Muffin Mix, Bingo Bat, Brittlecake, ChafICKA and Marshmallow Madness. We won 2 times out of three. Go team! Haha, it was a good time.

I have recently been taking a lot of quizzes in my spare time, and these are a couple of answers I thought I'd share with y'all:

You are tough and tomboy-ish, or just a guy. You like to get down and dirty, without the fear of getting hurt. You are a bit arrogant. You are slightly depressed, sad, and insecure but you like to cover it up by acting the tough guy. Or girl.

You are a blueberry muffin! The softest muffin from the oven! You shall be eaten first because everyone chooses you over any other muffin.Scream as much as you want, but you shall be the first eaten muffin of all of the muffin batch!

I still want a cupcake.

thank you for being a backstabber

A French writer named Marcel Proust found a questionnaire called "An Album to Record Thoughts, Feelings, etc." and he made a bunch of these questions popular and people called it the Proust quesionnaire. MK and Ashley Olsen had parts of it in their book, Influence, and readysetgo did it on her blog, and I thought that it looked interesting, so I'm going to fill it out.

Your most marked characteristic? Giving advice; listening and talking.
The quality you like most in a man? Someone who isn't into drugs alcohol and stuff like that, who has some of the same interests that I do, and some other things too.
The quality you like most in a woman? Being loyal and being able to be chill and laugh things off.
What do you most value in your friends? Being able to voice opinions, but see other sides and opinions too. And, of course, being honest.
What is your principle defect? Not studying as much as I should.
What is your favourite occupation? A writer or a baker(even though I can't bake well). I also like the job of editors(books and media).
What is your dream of happiness? Experiencing life.
What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes? Another world war.
What would you like to be? Able to stand up for things even more than I already do.
In what country would you like to live? Somewhere in England.
What is your favourite colour? I can never answer this question, because I love every colour, but I really enjoy bright, royal blue.
What is your favourite flower? Daisies.
What is your favourite bird? Elephant birds(SEUSS). I am not fond of birds.
Who are your favourite writers? V.C. Andrews, J.K. Rowling, John Green, Stephen King, and Stephen Chbosky. But there are many more.
Who are your favourite poets? I really don't know.
Who is your favourite hero of fiction? Anyone from Harry Potter.
Who is your favourite heroine of fiction? Probably Anne from Anne of Green Gables.
Who are your favourite painters? I don't know of enough to make any choices.
Who are your heroes in real life? My friends, family, and just people around me in the world.
What is it you most dislike? Hypocritical situations and hypocrites. And derogatory terms being used.
What natural gift would you most like to possess? To have a good singing voice or having a strong immune system. If that counts.
How would you like to die? DEFINETELY while I'm sleeping, I don't want pain.
What is your present state of mind? Peaceful. For the most part.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent? Pity? Maybe?
What is your motto? I don't really have a motto.
I'm happy. The title of this blog post has nothing to do with my life, it is actually a line from a song by Heather Schultz called Backstabber.

exaggeration hesitation

Today was all about exaggerating things. I did it at school(the musical) and at dance class. At school I had many laughs as I watched people overexaggerate. I wish I did better. I could have done much more. At dance class, I came in, knowing that since I missed last week, I probably missed learning new choreography, but I didn't. The only new thing we did the week before was make formations. I thought she would have just had empty spaces for where the missing people were, but for some reason she redid the whole formation. I was in the back. Normally I don't mind being in the back. It doesn't bother me, as long as the dance looks good and if we move formations instead of just stay in the same formation the whole time. Well, my dance teacher said that she didn't want to put this one girl in the front(she was missing today) and so she put her in the back. With me. I think that this girl is just fine at dancing, we are all good and bad in different ways. My teacher changed the choreography a bit to suit the formation, each position and angle balancing and things like that. There's one part where we all go into a line, and in my opinion, it is cramped. But, maybe it's because she makes me do a body roll into the line, where I clearly need to take about 3 steps to get to the line of people. She told them to body roll and move backwards, but it doesn't help much. She told me to do this whole other thing, and it looks a bit weird, but whatever. We did our second dance without formations, and we had to exaggerate and clean the whole thing, AGAIN. I am getting it, I just probably look stupid doing it, because I'm small and not curvy, and I was wearing no makeup and leggings. I really need to invest in some true hiphop dance clothes. End rant.
Thanks for all of the comments! I never get many comments, and I just love to read other blogs! If you know of a blog you think I'd like, send me a link or something!

I am excited for New Years. Shopping time! Yay! I need some money though. To see musicals and such. What are you doing this winter holiday season thinger?
