you make me happy

He had an uncanny knack to bring a smile to her face while his pupils turned into cartoon-shaped hearts. They sat in his bedroom, folding soft teeshirts, while devouring a plate of nachos. They played hide and seek in a brightly coloured carnival tent.

They spoon-fed eachother peanut butter. They sat and watched an orchestra perform. They watched the stars from the trampoline in his yard. They caught snowflakes on their tongues in the wintertime. They had a sleepover in a treehouse. They sang along obnoxiously to soundtracks they loved and hated. They shared a big brown sweater.

butterscotch and delicate hands

I finally did it. I finally saw Breakfast At Tiffany's. It's quite lovely, and the imagery is nice. I'm glad I saw it. I like seeing things that are older, everything seems to have such charm compared to now. I was looking at my father's old school yearbook, it's weird to see how life has changed and stayed the same.

October has come, and already there is snow on the ground. A thin layer, but it is still upsetting. I was looking forward to rolling in the autumn leaves. I've been sitting in my home, drinking glasses of milk, and eating toast with jam. I've been dreaming of being wrapped up in a blanket with a special someone, and watching movies like Now and Then and Madeline, and maybe even Matilda or 500 Days of Summer.

I've been writing my own Happy Lists in various notebooks. I am in love with writing lists.

paper cranes, cupcakes, balloons, ballet shoes, peanut butter, orchestras, tea, bubble baths, editorial models, trampolines, blue skies, massages, people who write sweet emails, sending postcards, sparkly fingernails, hula-hoops and adventures.

I would like to have this. http://www.theall-nighter.com/catalog/item/7168668/7340888.htm

“There is not one big cosmic meaning for all, there is only the meaning we each give to our life, an individual meaning, an individual plot, like an individual novel, a book for each person.”
— Anaïs Nin

I got together with some friends, and we made crafts, involving tons of glitter! I made a glittery dinosaur that I am planning on giving a very sweet person that I am getting to know. I like getting to know people. Especially people who want to get to know me back.

you'll make biscuits, and i'll make tea; we'll curl up close and then fall asleep.

So far September has been a blur and a whirl of many things. Cinnamon buns, John Green failing at destroying a wall, Andrew Sims @replies on twitter, the Spice Girls, missing the hogwarts express, shopping with friends, new secondhand clothes, auditions, Chicago, the Amanda Show, dreaming of building cozy forts with fuzzy blankets, EFT, Madeline, GLEE, pizza, guitars and history class, protecting cakes, Massie Block, Starbucks, improv, best friends, recording songs, dance class, the saddle club, italian food, the Parent Trap, taking walks, moustaches, vocal jazz, chocolate milk with marshmallows, and talking to sweet people.

004. I'm so glad to be in Chamber Choir, Choir and Vocal Jazz, it makes me feel so glad.

jump jive and wail

Thank you so much for the replies to my question! Sammi-Lise, I also like the sequin trend. Lottie, that preppy look is so much fun! Jocelynne, sweater dresses are so nice, as well as fall florals, blazers, and leather jackets too! I like dressing up, it is lots of fun!

My lovely friends and I were at Mitsu's house yesterday, and we made delicious smoothies. We also decided that we were going to create our alter egos. Here is some info about mine.

My name is Gretchen Heather Ann Coach. Some people call me Gretch, as well as kiddo, but that's mostly by my dad. My birthday is December 21, 1996, and I am age 13 and going into grade 8. My parents are is Chad Zachary Coach and Nicola Ezmeralda Zimmerman-Coach. My dad is a life coach, and my mother is a womens' volleyball coach. Kind of ironic, hey? I am high-upper middle class. My 17 year old sister is Lindsay Rose Zimmerman Coach. I have an adorable golden retriever named Willy. I am dating a prepubescent, short & pudgy boy named Mark (with a “K”!) Bailey. My style is jumpers, knee socks, mary-janes, ruffles, lip gloss, and pink. My guilty pleasures are banana pudding, High School Musical, & charm bracelets.

Raez (cheapthrillsss.blogspot.com) is Priscilla Ava Marie Dôuche, but call her Zaria.
Mitsu (iheartmansbridge.blogspot.com) is Samantha Pakwa Inkleburton, call her Sammie.
Rona is Sophie Kwoogh Kotunowicz.

Gala Darling (galadarling.com) made a new post on her website, and it inspired me to post some pictures. I love these interiors.

"so extremely true can a heart fall deep into the hands of another. fall so quickly and land so carefully. by someone who holds the key to unlock all sorts of woes and cares and thoughts and turn them all into fluffy cotton wool and wish it away up to the clouds. up where they stay. never to be seen. and down upon the green daisy covered grass, lay nothing but perfection and happy stars and excitement bubbles.she sits under the shady tree daydreaming of adventures to come. of words to say and things to feel."-the girl with the huge imagination, and the tea drinking english rose, lottie. I went on a trip recently, and I bought a few things. Now my room has new friends, like: a yellow and grey striped tube jersey dress, a red zip up, as well as a purple one; a white teeshirt with paint splatters and fish on it(very artsy), blonde hair extensions, lip gloss that tastes like creamsicles, sweet pea body spray, floral sunglasses, a checked skirt in pinks and purples, purple acid wash jeans, yellow and white nail polish, white nail art nail polish, a composition book like Harriet M. Welsch has in Harriet The Spy, the cutest underwear and high school musical socks. I also bought two movies, Step Up and The Clique. Have any of you seen The Clique, or read the books? Who would you be? People tell me I'd be Massie, but not mean like she is. I think Kristen is cool, and Layne too.

I really want to get to know some of you more. So, I'm going to have a few questions for you guys to answer(all out of choice, you don't have to!) and you can post them below in the comments!

Where is one place where you've felt your heart belongs?

Who do you look up to, or, who inspires you?

If you could be anyone for a day who would you be?

If anyone could sing you a song, what would it be and who would it be?

Would you hold a strangers hand if they asked you to?

If you had to choose, the sky or the sea?

I hope you get lots of inspiration from my blog post. But mostly, just from the world in general. Lately, inspiration has been key in my life. It's time for me to make a anniversary card for my grandparents, so I hope to hear from you, and goodbye!

P.S. School is soon. And I still don't have audition songs.

honey, just talk to me

summertime is clearly exciting. no school, and a bunch of events. I'm so busy with all of these things, that i just get so caught up in it all and forget to update. I'm very sorry about that. I've been checking the blogs i follow though, and all of you too!

bev (a-bev-blog.blogspot.com) and I performed an original rap at the talent show at international music camp, and it was a great experience!

my best friend since kindergarten, jenna, moved. we don't see each other as much as we would like, but when we do, it's always so much fun! we saw the movie 'I Love You, Beth Cooper', and looked through old photo albums and such.

I hung out with my friends for my birthday, and it was a fantastic day! thank you all for the birthday wishes, you are all so kind.

I went out for tea with bev and pam. they are both fun to be around, and I got Belgian Chocolate Tea and a bunch of yummy treats.

I visited the library too, and after finding books that I was going to take out, I read some books in the childrens section, like Madeline(which mysteriously was on television today, for the first time in what seems like forever).

time for something sweet

My last day of school was yesterday, and I have one exam on Tuesday to do. Other than that, I'm done. I've done plenty of fun things this year, and I'm so excited for everything ahead of me. This weekend coming up is a busy one, and I promise to post a few photos from it. I am excited to wear dresses all weekend. Dresses are so much fun!

This school year I've gone to some parties, and I've bought new clothes. I found the coolest Spice Girls shirt, shown above. I love it! I wore it to my friend Rae's birthday party. This year I went to a jazz festival(first photo), and I had a good time, even though some pretty bad events occurred. I borrowed my friend Illana's floral dress to wear for one of those days, and it is such a pretty dress.

I was in my school's production of Seussical, and I played the Mayor's wife/Mrs. Mayor. I had a blast working with all my talented cast members, and of course the crew and directors who did so much! I'm in the yellow, if you were wondering.

Really, it was a great experience. I love musicals, and I could almost fill up my 4GB iPod with all of the musical soundtracks I have. I have so many memories from this year's musical, and I hope to be in more shows.

In my singing groups, we sang many songs. We sang: Mas Que Nada, Boy From New York City, Everybody Wants Ya, September, Centerpiece, A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square, Longer, Birdland, Frim Fram Sauce, Shenandoah, Kom!, His Love Never Fails, Lacrymosa, Give Us Peace, Donkey Riding, Run Children Run, Reel A Bouche, Tango To Evora, Sicut Locutus Est,
Singabahabayo, Sing We And Chant It, Mairi's Wedding, Hlohonolofatsa, Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel?, Ne Sede Djemo, In Remembrance and Earth Song.

I spent lots of time doing Improvisation, and I got to know people through that. I did a few photo shoots with Rae, and she is brilliant, let me just say.

I got new video editing software, so hopefully, soon I will be able to post videos onto Youtube. So many of you have great blogs and other things, like Flickr accounts, Youtube accounts, ect. You really are amazing people and you have passion in what you do, which is something that I think is very important.

Performing is something that I love to do, and I value that I have chances to do what I love.

These are cute. http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=5

My birthday is coming up very soon, and I really want some things from here! Check it out! http://www.lush.ca/shop/
