honey, just talk to me

summertime is clearly exciting. no school, and a bunch of events. I'm so busy with all of these things, that i just get so caught up in it all and forget to update. I'm very sorry about that. I've been checking the blogs i follow though, and all of you too!

bev (a-bev-blog.blogspot.com) and I performed an original rap at the talent show at international music camp, and it was a great experience!

my best friend since kindergarten, jenna, moved. we don't see each other as much as we would like, but when we do, it's always so much fun! we saw the movie 'I Love You, Beth Cooper', and looked through old photo albums and such.

I hung out with my friends for my birthday, and it was a fantastic day! thank you all for the birthday wishes, you are all so kind.

I went out for tea with bev and pam. they are both fun to be around, and I got Belgian Chocolate Tea and a bunch of yummy treats.

I visited the library too, and after finding books that I was going to take out, I read some books in the childrens section, like Madeline(which mysteriously was on television today, for the first time in what seems like forever).

time for something sweet

My last day of school was yesterday, and I have one exam on Tuesday to do. Other than that, I'm done. I've done plenty of fun things this year, and I'm so excited for everything ahead of me. This weekend coming up is a busy one, and I promise to post a few photos from it. I am excited to wear dresses all weekend. Dresses are so much fun!

This school year I've gone to some parties, and I've bought new clothes. I found the coolest Spice Girls shirt, shown above. I love it! I wore it to my friend Rae's birthday party. This year I went to a jazz festival(first photo), and I had a good time, even though some pretty bad events occurred. I borrowed my friend Illana's floral dress to wear for one of those days, and it is such a pretty dress.

I was in my school's production of Seussical, and I played the Mayor's wife/Mrs. Mayor. I had a blast working with all my talented cast members, and of course the crew and directors who did so much! I'm in the yellow, if you were wondering.

Really, it was a great experience. I love musicals, and I could almost fill up my 4GB iPod with all of the musical soundtracks I have. I have so many memories from this year's musical, and I hope to be in more shows.

In my singing groups, we sang many songs. We sang: Mas Que Nada, Boy From New York City, Everybody Wants Ya, September, Centerpiece, A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square, Longer, Birdland, Frim Fram Sauce, Shenandoah, Kom!, His Love Never Fails, Lacrymosa, Give Us Peace, Donkey Riding, Run Children Run, Reel A Bouche, Tango To Evora, Sicut Locutus Est,
Singabahabayo, Sing We And Chant It, Mairi's Wedding, Hlohonolofatsa, Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel?, Ne Sede Djemo, In Remembrance and Earth Song.

I spent lots of time doing Improvisation, and I got to know people through that. I did a few photo shoots with Rae, and she is brilliant, let me just say.

I got new video editing software, so hopefully, soon I will be able to post videos onto Youtube. So many of you have great blogs and other things, like Flickr accounts, Youtube accounts, ect. You really are amazing people and you have passion in what you do, which is something that I think is very important.

Performing is something that I love to do, and I value that I have chances to do what I love.

These are cute. http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=5

My birthday is coming up very soon, and I really want some things from here! Check it out! http://www.lush.ca/shop/

the things that make you smile

Erin Meagan makes wishes, writes on post-it notes, hangs tinsel from the ceiling in magical places, takes photographs, dresses up, collects sparkles, writes secret notes to her fairy friends, makes memories on swing sets, fills her belly with ice cream, picks daisies, hangs onto balloons, reads and creates homemade books, drinks lemonade in tea cups, loves cupcakes, blows glitter kisses, analyzes poetry, fills her days with music, dreams of Hogwarts, dances for the irresistible quality of loving life, uses improvisation, sings to starry-eyed strangers, sketches lacy drawings of umbrellas and snowflakes, adds sprinkles to doughnuts, spends hours in bookshops, cuddles with magical friends and dreamers, puts ribbons in her hair and dances in the rain, devours chocolate truffles and biscuits, sits on floral bedsheets and reads storybooks, believes in fantastical things, and sees your voice.
A few lovely bloggers asked if they could see some pictures from the photo shoot that I mentioned in the last post, and so here are two of them for you to see. If you want to see the others, go to Rae's blog (cheapthrillsss.blogspot.com) and look around for them. She is a fabulous girl, and I'm excited to see her tomorrow again.

I loved playing this years back. So much fun playing Mash. http://dollarshort.org/mash/

I recently had a big burst of performances for singing groups, and I just wanted to share a picture of one of the more casual performances with all of you. The girl on the end is Bev, who some of you may know from her illuminating blog (a-bev-blog.blogspot.com), and I am next to her. Emma (emmaisenthused.blogspot.com), is also in the photograph. We all make a fun jazz group.
Are any of you excited to see the Tony Awards?!
Have a great weekend!

i'm not mad that you got mad that I got mad

The month of May has been filled with books, nail polish, singing, dancing, monologues, photo shoots, Caesar salads with chicken, hugs, anticipation, new music, jealousy, Improv shows, dress shopping, the hoedown throwdown, The Clique Movie, physics, High School Musical 3, vocal jazz and party planning.

The wonderfully talented Rae (cheapthrillsss.blogspot.com) did a photo shoot that I was honoured to model in. The mascara she used on me was absolutely great, and I think I should buy it! Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara.

Lovely, simply fabulous. http://abcadventures.wordpress.com/

Things are coming to an end, slowly, but surely. School has a little bit less of a month left to play out for me. My birthday is in July, and so is International Music Camp, which is sure to be a great experience.
I want to expand my blog and improve it, but that probably won't happen until after school is over. Oh, and I also am going to be getting a job. I hope. Comment telling me what your summer plans are, I'd love to hear about them!
P.S. If you can guess what the title is from, you are awesome!
P.P.S. If you had to search it to find out, listen to the song!

i was told that kite flying's for lovers

it's that time again.

I know that I've posted this photograph a few entries ago, but I needed to post it again, because my hair is like this today! My camera is dead, and I need to go buy new batteries. One day, try to do this to your hair!

I'm reading Anne of Green Gables again, and I've realized, again, how much I love it. I relate to Anne so much, and it's such a lovely read.

At least once a week, I take a walk with Beverley (a-bev-blog.blogspot.com), and today our walk lasted almost 2 hours. We were at a park at one point, and a little boy, about 5 years old, was trying to talk to us. He had run across the street(without looking both ways before crossing) wearing a orange and navy blue winter jacket, and was trying to get into the park to talk to us. He was holding toys, and books, and he was saying things, but it was difficult to hear him since we were ways away. He tried to get past the chain surrounding the park, but he was too short to step over, and too weak to pick it up and go underneath. We were giggling about his cute factor, when a woman came out of the house and ran across the street to the boy. I'm assuming she was his mother. She picked him up and began to scold him, and I felt so sad, I just wanted to hug that kid forever. She brought him back home and I looked at the door a minute later, and the little boy was looking out the window sadly.

In my Drama class, we are currently doing monologues. My monologue is about a girl named Karen who has an eating disorder. I have to have it memorized and perform it by Friday, and I'm not sure if I'll be ready in time. Any tips for memorizing?

Remember how I told you about that solo in Vocal Jazz? Well I got one of them! I'm glad. Emma, (emmaisenthused.blogspot.com) has a solo in that song that has more or less the same tune, and I'm glad that she got one too. Thank you everyone, for your support!

I am currently listening to That's How You Know from the movie Enchanted. It is so delightful, if you haven't seen it, you probably should! Take my advice and see it, and love it. Tomorrow is my dance recital, and I'm going to get to do my hair up in a fun way! This post has a bunch of pictures, mostly of 'hairspiration'. I got the photos from various sources. I'm off now, to eat some torte and watch Annie! Have a great end of the month!

there's nothing we can do, just wanna be with you

I went on a nice walk today with Beverley(a-bev-blog.blogspot). We walked a fair amount, and we stopped in Walmart! There was so much Hannah Montana merchandise, it was insane! I bought a Hannah Montana guitar shaped hairbrush. I couldn't help myself! I also bought a copy of NYLON magazine, the special anniversary issue! I haven't finished it yet, but I'm hoping to read it tonight after dinner.

Stefanie(accordingtostefanie.blogspot) and I had a photo shoot, and most of the photos in this blog post are from the photo shoot that we had. We both had a lot of fun taking pictures with each other. I felt like a princess standing on top of a giant cookie!

I was reading old journals from the second grade last night. My mother teaches grade two, and she said that my writing was very developed for a child of that age. Remind me in the comments to post some small snippets of what I wrote, because some of it was very funny! I might use the new scanner I got to scan a few of the pages. It is so interesting to read old things that you wrote, and felt. I mentioned food so much in my journal. I haven't changed one bit.

Did anyone see the Hannah Montana movie? If you have, tell me in the comments what you thought..but don't give any of the plot points away! I want to know if it is worth seeing(even though I'll end up seeing it anyways). Or, just leave some movies you think I should see! I love watching movies.

I am in a vocal jazz group at my school, and we are singing the song Everybody Wants Ya by S Club 7. I used to listen to them when I was younger, and I'm ever so happy that we are singing that song in vocal jazz. I want a solo, wish me luck! Even if I don't get one, I'll have tons of fun singing it. You should check it out if you haven't listened to it before.

Someone called me beautiful today. I think that was the first time I've ever blushed in my life. I never turn pink. Ever.

I made a tumblr account, and it is a picture playlist site. I don't know how much I will update it, but I like it! (seeyourvoice.tumblr)
My friends and I wrote a parody of a song and we were going to record it and give it to a certain fabulous Improv team that is going to be going to the CIG(Canadian Improv Games). Unfortunately, the microphone wasn't working with my computer, so we didn't end up doing it. I hope I can find another microphone in the near future.
My friend Tatiana(discoveryourstory.blogspot) went on a trip to Mexico, and she brought me back the most darling bobble head turtles ever. One is named Travis, and the other is named Sienna.

I want this.
Have a good weekend, everybody, and thank you for reading my blog!
P.S. If anyone can guess where my title is from, they get an imaginary cupcake!
