i was told that kite flying's for lovers

it's that time again.

I know that I've posted this photograph a few entries ago, but I needed to post it again, because my hair is like this today! My camera is dead, and I need to go buy new batteries. One day, try to do this to your hair!

I'm reading Anne of Green Gables again, and I've realized, again, how much I love it. I relate to Anne so much, and it's such a lovely read.

At least once a week, I take a walk with Beverley (a-bev-blog.blogspot.com), and today our walk lasted almost 2 hours. We were at a park at one point, and a little boy, about 5 years old, was trying to talk to us. He had run across the street(without looking both ways before crossing) wearing a orange and navy blue winter jacket, and was trying to get into the park to talk to us. He was holding toys, and books, and he was saying things, but it was difficult to hear him since we were ways away. He tried to get past the chain surrounding the park, but he was too short to step over, and too weak to pick it up and go underneath. We were giggling about his cute factor, when a woman came out of the house and ran across the street to the boy. I'm assuming she was his mother. She picked him up and began to scold him, and I felt so sad, I just wanted to hug that kid forever. She brought him back home and I looked at the door a minute later, and the little boy was looking out the window sadly.

In my Drama class, we are currently doing monologues. My monologue is about a girl named Karen who has an eating disorder. I have to have it memorized and perform it by Friday, and I'm not sure if I'll be ready in time. Any tips for memorizing?

Remember how I told you about that solo in Vocal Jazz? Well I got one of them! I'm glad. Emma, (emmaisenthused.blogspot.com) has a solo in that song that has more or less the same tune, and I'm glad that she got one too. Thank you everyone, for your support!

I am currently listening to That's How You Know from the movie Enchanted. It is so delightful, if you haven't seen it, you probably should! Take my advice and see it, and love it. Tomorrow is my dance recital, and I'm going to get to do my hair up in a fun way! This post has a bunch of pictures, mostly of 'hairspiration'. I got the photos from various sources. I'm off now, to eat some torte and watch Annie! Have a great end of the month!

there's nothing we can do, just wanna be with you

I went on a nice walk today with Beverley(a-bev-blog.blogspot). We walked a fair amount, and we stopped in Walmart! There was so much Hannah Montana merchandise, it was insane! I bought a Hannah Montana guitar shaped hairbrush. I couldn't help myself! I also bought a copy of NYLON magazine, the special anniversary issue! I haven't finished it yet, but I'm hoping to read it tonight after dinner.

Stefanie(accordingtostefanie.blogspot) and I had a photo shoot, and most of the photos in this blog post are from the photo shoot that we had. We both had a lot of fun taking pictures with each other. I felt like a princess standing on top of a giant cookie!

I was reading old journals from the second grade last night. My mother teaches grade two, and she said that my writing was very developed for a child of that age. Remind me in the comments to post some small snippets of what I wrote, because some of it was very funny! I might use the new scanner I got to scan a few of the pages. It is so interesting to read old things that you wrote, and felt. I mentioned food so much in my journal. I haven't changed one bit.

Did anyone see the Hannah Montana movie? If you have, tell me in the comments what you thought..but don't give any of the plot points away! I want to know if it is worth seeing(even though I'll end up seeing it anyways). Or, just leave some movies you think I should see! I love watching movies.

I am in a vocal jazz group at my school, and we are singing the song Everybody Wants Ya by S Club 7. I used to listen to them when I was younger, and I'm ever so happy that we are singing that song in vocal jazz. I want a solo, wish me luck! Even if I don't get one, I'll have tons of fun singing it. You should check it out if you haven't listened to it before.

Someone called me beautiful today. I think that was the first time I've ever blushed in my life. I never turn pink. Ever.

I made a tumblr account, and it is a picture playlist site. I don't know how much I will update it, but I like it! (seeyourvoice.tumblr)
My friends and I wrote a parody of a song and we were going to record it and give it to a certain fabulous Improv team that is going to be going to the CIG(Canadian Improv Games). Unfortunately, the microphone wasn't working with my computer, so we didn't end up doing it. I hope I can find another microphone in the near future.
My friend Tatiana(discoveryourstory.blogspot) went on a trip to Mexico, and she brought me back the most darling bobble head turtles ever. One is named Travis, and the other is named Sienna.

I want this.
Have a good weekend, everybody, and thank you for reading my blog!
P.S. If anyone can guess where my title is from, they get an imaginary cupcake!

skipping puddles

Bev.
So, Beverley and I had a photoshoot at my house a while ago.

Bev.
We also had a discussion about love at her house a few days ago, and you must check out her blog (a-bev-blog.blogspot.com) and read about what she has to say.

Bev.
Some of the pictures turned out pretty well. We were both in a creative mood.
Erin Meagan.
They were shrunken down when I uploaded them onto blogger, but at least you get a glimpse of what we were up to.
Erin Meagan.
That's me wearing a dress that I got at VV a while ago. It was so darling and made me feel like a princess, so I bought it. I really hope that there is an occasion coming up that I could wear it to. Theme party, anyone?

I don't normally post photos of my meals, but this one was very tasty. I am a big believer in eating cake whenever I can!
Thanks to everyone for commenting and telling me their responses to my question. I love hearing from all of you!

Nicola(insidethecabinetofwonder.blogspot.com) tagged me with a tag that I've been wanting to do for a while.
The rules are:
1. Respond and rework. Answer the questions on your blog, replace one question you dislike with a question of your own invention; add a question of your own.
2. Tag eight other un-tagged people.

What is your current obsession?
I am currently spending a lot of time decorating my bedroom. I love decorating it.
What are you wearing right now?
Right now I am wearing a pink cardigan and a green tank top from Old Navy and a floral skirt that I bought from VV, but it was originally American Eagle.
Who was the last person you hugged?
The last person I hugged would have to be my friend, Mistu when she came over and visited me the other day.
How many facebook friends do you have at the moment(or any social networking site)?
I'll have to go check. *one minute later* I have seven hundred and seventy eight friends. Does that even make sense? Oh my!
What’s for dinner?
I am hoping for pizza, but with my luck, we are probably not having it.
What was the last thing you bought?
The last thing that I bought was cupcakes.
What are you listening to right now?
Right now, I am listening to the We Just Touched Awkwardly song.
Listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2RzKNCahRg
What is your favourite weather?
I quite enjoy springtime and autumn.
What’s on your beside table?
Currently I have a few CDs, mostly mixes, my alarm clock, a green picture frame, and fancy cards with envelopes.
Say something to the person/s who tagged you.
Your blog was one of the first I read, and it is such a pleasure to know that you read mine now too!
If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?
New York.
Where are you typing from right now?
My basement!
A book you're currently reading?
I am currently re-reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
What would you like to have in your hands right now?
Anything Spring Awakening related. I love that musical.
What is your favourite tea flavour?
Belgium Chocolate.
What film means so much to you?
This is a really hard question to answer. Rent, Odd Girl Out, or the Parent Trap(Lohan version).
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
I would go to an intense dance workshop, or a cozy secondhand book store.
What did you want to become as a child?
A teacher.
Who was the last person you sang with?
My brother.

I'm going to tag anyone who wants to do this, because I really can't pick only eight people, as all of you are just so full of awesome!

Like I said in the first question, I have been working on changing my bedroom..gradually. The walls of my bedroom are the same as this next picture. I've posted a few pictures, all from ourbedrooms on livejournal. Inspiration. (Sorry if they are cut off or huge)

This Spring break, I hope to do something fun everyday. Of course, today was surfing the internet. I found this crazy site, check it out!

it's green..like our love

I have to sign up for courses for my next year in high school, and I am precarious about what I should sign up for, since I still do not know what I want to do out of high school. Of course, I am also going to be taking Drama, Choir, English, Pre Calculus, Vocal Jazz, Chamber Choir and History. I'm most likely taking Biology, but do I need Physics or Chemistry? I would also like to take a computer course, like multimedia, application or science. Oh, but which one to choose is a very difficult decision.

One of my best friends had a birthday bash a while ago, and I took a picture of the meal that I had in the morning, doesn't it look just delicious?
My past few weeks have been filled with performing, birthdays, movies, flirting, veggie samosas, Annie, chemistry, catching up in dance class, stefanie, improv, tests, and preparing.
This dress from American Apparel is simply darling! One of my dance classes was considering having this for our costume, and we ended up deciding against it. I probably would have gotten the serpent colour-the first one. It looks like such a sweet dress, I may have to get it once I get a job.

I wrote a poem at the end of February, and I'd love it if you'd give me some feedback. Well, here it is. It isn't titled yet, and I haven't really given it a working title.

i'd set the scene, but i don't recall
everything around us was noticed, but set aside.
like seashells, we lined the way to a magical depth
we didn't divulge
either of us
our shells beautiful, a work of art.
a cluster of jewels adorned my chest
and your hair was mussed from the faded wind

the sand under the bare skin of our feet was the foundation that kept us moving
the waves started out low, a playful game
a constant refreshing nudge
your lips parted into a smile and our hands joined as one, as if our hearts could be influenced.

with a breath of the ocean breeze, i faced your beautiful life
i realized it was impossible to get past the barrier.
it wasn't a fault, more like an obstacle,
yet our hearts just weren't in it
the waves seemed to rain over my thirsty body as i took it all,
and then,
conclusion.
the ending of it all.

coming back was the hardest to do,
the waves acting diabolical; a possessed heart monitor
and there i see it.
arms containing two bodies,
because nothing could be more unbreakable.
interlocking fingers and eyes was never this excruciating,
i am under the influence of your graceless charm.

then i think of the seashells,
the fear to dive in.
to swim in the ocean
is to love the unknown
and to love the unknown
is to love you.

Question of the Day: If you could travel to two places, where would you go?

I know that I've posted pictures of her before, but I just needed to again! Amy Diamond and I are probably secret twin sisters, we just aren't sure about it yet. Sorry if this is photo-heavy.
This whole outfit looks so cozy, but it doesn't looks bulky, like many cozy clothes can sometimes be when worn together.
Yes, I'm a bad girl. I want that sequinned jacket. I can't lose my love for glittery goodness, it's too hard! I had a pair of my friend's jeans for a while, and they were purple and somehow went with so many pieces of my wardrobe.
The fit of that shirtdress is so constructed and oddly designed that I fell in love with it. I also love the colour of it! As well, I really like her hair in all of these pictures, and I wish I had my lighter hair colour back sometimes, but then other times, I'm content with what I have right now.
Isn't that vest just amazing?
I really need a cardigan like this. I own a ratted up pink knit cardigan from Old Navy and a turquiose/teal one from who-knows-where. I have had my friend Beverley's gold cardigan for almost a month now, and I just love it! I'm excited to see what will happen when she grows out of it. A local improv team wears cardigans, and I am mighty envious.

This last picture makes me wish again for my old hair colour. If I had that dress, I'd spin around to watch everything move!

Last summer, I went to International Music Camp, also known as IMC. It was such a fantastic experience, and I am looking forward to (hopefully) returning in the upcoming summer. My school has the brochure hung up on the wall, and I was looking at it when I noticed that I was included in one of the photographs featured inside. It is also on this page of the website, and if you truly are wondering, I'm the one with the striped socks. We were supposed to dress in a way that expressed our personality, so I dressed in bright colours from head to toe, like a lot of people. http://www.internationalmusiccamp.com/dramainner.htm

I have been updating the playlist on my blog. I have added this one song that was written about me(well, not really) and it is called she'sgotstyle. Give it a listen, it's really good! And I'm not quite sure why the song 'Be Gentle With Me' hasn't been playing the full length of the song. It's probably just the original location of the music file.

Have a great week, my starry-eyed wanderers!

amore suscrescente

Welcome back, Erin Meagan.
It seems like I've been gone for so long, hasn't it? Well, at least it feels like that to me! I am sorry for not posting in so long, I just couldn't! I was very overwhelmed! Another thing, I got tagged and awards(or maybe it was just the one award, I'm not too sure)from some of you moonlit bloggers! I cannot remember all of the people who have tagged me, so if you would please just remind me in the comments and I was go back to your blog and find the tag, I would be grateful. I have remembered some of them, and here they are!

I'm sure that Lottie gave me this tag, the one with the image! I love this one!
the rules
1. go to the 4th folder on your computer where you store your images
2. pick the 4th picture in the folder
3. explain the picture
4. tag 4 people to do the same

This is a photograph of me.
Taken by Bev.
I am wearing my fun tie dye dress, and the lighting looks really cool! Instead of tagging just four people, I am tagging everybody, so go and do it!
thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou! This new award is lovely, and oh, so delightful! Very special. I think that I am going to give it to my friend Tatiana, who is a pineapple monkey and can be found at http://discoveryourstory.blogspot.com/, and the creative http://insidethecabinetofwonder.blogspot.com/.
I spent my St. Valentine's day at a rehearsal for a show that I performed in last night, and then I went to a fabulous friend's house and we did plenty of fun stuff! How was your Valentine's day?

In September, I was privileged enough to see Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway in theatres! It was only playing for two days and the tickets were about 22 dollars. I went to see it with a few people I knew, and a few that I didn't know too well, but got to know better afterwards. Now it is released on DVD, and I highly recommend it. If you have seen the movie, you HAVE to see this. And if you haven't, I still think you should watch this, unless you really have something against musicals or something. In all seriousness though, the beauty of this musical was actually caught on the film, and I was so glad to be able to see it. I've seen it twice now, once in the theatre and once with my friend's DVD. I am going to go out and buy it as soon as I can.
Si puer cum puellula
moraretur in cellula,
felix coniunctio.
Amore succrescente,
pariter e medio
propulso procul taedio,
fit ludus ineffabilis
membris, lacertis, labiis.
If a boy with a girl
tarries in a little room,
happy is their coupling.
Love rises up,
and between them
prudery is driven away,
an ineffable game begins
in their limbs, arms and lips.

one hundred percent of you

I feel so bad for not blogging. It's not like I have been super busy, but I've just not had the time to write all of the things I want to. I promise that I will get to doing all of the tags that I have recieved, soon. I actually have bits and pieces of what I want to post saved as drafts, but I just can't seem to finish it. I promise though, soon.

That's a photo of me from last June.
It's the least I could do for not posting in so long, and besides the post would be boring without a photo to go along with it.
